Child Dedication
As parents, being part of a loving church family can help you raise your children in the ways of the Lord.
Our hope is that this church family would be a place where your children will receive love, make friends, grow in faith and encounter Jesus.
The dedication of children is taught in the Bible. As a baby, Jesus was dedicated by his parents at the temple. As an adult, Jesus blessed other people’s children, holding them up as an example of life in His kingdom (Mark 10:16).
For us at The Way Church, child dedication is a public declaration, made by parents or caregivers, where they express their desire to lay a foundation of Godly principles at home, raise their child with Christian values (Deut 6:5-7) and guide and educate their child in accordance with God’s word (Eph 6:14). Moreover, it is an opportunity for the church family to stand with parents and caregivers, expressing our commitment to provide a community that nurtures child-like faith and obedience to the commands of God in a way that brings flourishing to families.
Every dedication is a community celebration — it marks a moment in the life of a family where parents can bring their little one’s in front of the church and be prayed over by the church and our pastoral staff. We are so glad you would consider dedicating your child to The Way.
