Job Description

We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our creative team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to bring creative concepts to life. As a Graphic Designer, you will collaborate with our creative and communications teams to produce visually stunning and effective designs across various platforms.

Details

Contract Length: Part-time (20 hrs/week)

Location: The Way Church Offices (101-1155 Thurlow St, Vancouver BC)

Salary Range: $50,000 to $65,000 prorated at .5 FTE, based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging and visually appealing designs for print and digital media, including advertisements, brochures, social media graphics, presentations, and website assets.

  • Collaborate with the team to develop and execute creative concepts that align with our brand identity and messaging.

  • Take ownership of projects from concept to completion, ensuring that all deliverables are on time, on brand, and of the highest quality.

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in graphic design, and incorporate them into our design processes.

  • Work closely with the communications team to understand project requirements and objectives, and translate them into design solutions that drive results.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Proven experience as a Graphic Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of design projects.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other design software.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and explain design concepts to team members and stakeholders.

  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Ability to adapt to new tools and methodologies in a rapidly evolving design landscape.

  • Experience with motion graphics and video editing is a plus.
